A lot of these logical quandaries are already answered in the Manga Pregnant Woman Question - The Death Note will kill an individual written in the Book without question, that is a fact, however it will not kill multiple people at once through the effect of one death. In Chapter 40 it shows that the Death Note will bypass the 23 Day Rule of effect if the individual in question is stated to die of a disease that would take longer than 23 Days to kill them. Infants, even within the womb, are still considered life so a pregnant woman would die from the Death Note once she either gives birth to the child or the child dies themselves first causing the effect to take place automatically once there is no possibility of an individual causing the death of another individual using the Death Note. T Thing Question - In Chapter 42, it explains that the User with the eyes of a Shinigami will see the name required to kill that individual and also in Chapter 42 it states that even if the name isn't recorded such as within a family registry that it won't matter as the Shinigami Eyes will still show a name. This means that the Death Note works off the notion that every Human has a TRUE name and only ONE name, that name is the one given at birth (or given in general) it seems due to the usage of "family registration" in the original text. As a T Thing cannot chose a name at birth, it doesn't matter what a thing calls themselves, they will be seen as their TRUE name regardless of anything. White Ink Question - Yes, any substance that is used to write a name (even if illegible) will apply to the Death Note as the really what is required is the Writer having a specific face and correct name to their target.
